Lifetime Goal Achieved!!!!!

The Hallelujah Chorus broke out this morning when I realized one of my lifetime goals--all the laundry baskets are EMPTY! I could have cried tears of joy. (Seriously)

I use three hampers--one for whites, one for colors, and one for "special". This is the first time they have all been empty at once.

Maybe it's because I have a little helper now?...hmmmmm.....could be...That little Bella loves helping load both the washer and dryer. Then, she loves to stand and ask "That?" to each piece of laundry I'm folding to see whose it is. When she recognizes her clothes, she gathers them into a pile in her arms. Having never owned a piece of clothing, Bella sure helps me appreciate all we have!

Love, One Happy Mama

PS--it lasted all of FIVE minutes and then Kevin brought out his dirty laundry. Oh well, loved it while it lasted! :)

  1. I think this calls for a Lifetime Achievement Award!!! I must feel wonderful...we don't have nearly the same amount of family living under the same roof and I am NEVER caught up with laundry, so AWESOME job! (even if it was for a few minutes) :)

  2. I find that's the bitter-sweet part of all the laundry clean... it's wonderful - for the 32 seconds it usually lasts. Congratulations on a huge task accomplished!

  3. I have tried to have all the dirty laundry baskets empty at once and it has NEVER happened. I asked everyone to please help and don't wear anything for one day ---- NO one would help me out with it! :-)

  4. LOL, I have 4 laundry baskets. 1 for everyday adult clothes, 1 for Bill's work clothes, the boy hamper and the girl hamper. The towels and bed linens get piled up in the laundry room and when I do get it all done and scream "hallalujah" you can rest assure that the next morning I will have 2 or 3 more loads to do. Every time I get it all done, and I mean EVERY TIME, at least 2 kids will wet the bed that night! I swear laundry will be the death of me!!! I completely feel your joy and pain all at once on this one :)

  5. Love all the pics! Knew the hamper thing wouldn't last long... same with an empty kitchen sink. :(

  6. Elijah likes to "help" with laundry too. When he sees me bring up a clean load of laundry, he comes running to help. Wonder if he'll feel the same way when he's 16? LOL!
