I can totally identify. I am tired of hearing people at my Christian school use that word. For people like me who love somebody with DS (my cousin) or any other special need, it is very offensive. I put one of those buttons on my blog too! You have a lovely family, and I hope your precious Bella gets to come home soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachel! That's great about putting it on your blog--you go girl!!!!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless, Paula
This is Kassie.
ReplyDeleteAll over my junior high, there are posters and people that are wearing buttons that say,
"Erase the R word!" One of my friends has been writing it on the white board in his classes!
We will spread the word here in Texas!! :-)
Dear Kassie!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a cool girl! (and a great niece!) Thanks for standing up for what is right!!!
Love you, Aunt Paula
