Today I sat with my dear friend while she finished up her last round of chemo! Praise God! I am so in awe of her and her great attitude throughout these last few months. She is a wonderful example of how God will use this, too, for His glory. And, she truly lived her faith "out loud" throughout this valley in her life.
I had so much fun just sitting and visiting with her...we don't get to do it much in this season of our lives, and we would have preferred to be doing it over lunch at Applebees, but nevertheless, I came away encouraged. How ironic that I was the one to be blessed...hmmmm...in God's economy things are often turned upside down, aren't they?
What a privilege to have a friend like her--I pray that this trial is temporary for her and that it (cancer) is defeated once and for all!!

Last round of chemo - what a major event! How neat that you were able to be there with her.
ReplyDeleteI hope she has many years of great health ahead of her!
Wonderful friends are a treasure, indeed.
ReplyDeletePaula---I feel so honored to be mentioned in "the blog"! You are such a great friend to sit with me during my long appt. Thanks for your encouraging words. It brings a sense of peace to know that God is in charge of everything in our lives. I look forward to future chats at Applebees!
